this cohort is counseling meets seminary meets church.

a 9-month journey of growth, community, and healing

wandering gets a bad rap. people often say wanderers are ‘lukewarm’, ‘back slidden’, or walking a ‘slipper say’ but rarely are wanderers extended resources, mentorship, encouragement, and spaces to wander, ask questions, rediscover, heal, and walk in freedom.

that’s what this space is for. a sanctuary for the wanderer to wander towards freedom, truth, and the healing hand of Jesus.

what do you believe and why do you believe it? what bad theology have you learned that you don’t know exactly how to unlearn? how do you study the Bible in context to actually find the truth of the message and heart of God? what does healing from church wounds look like while still loving the Church and acknowledging our powerful and needed presence within her? how can we move towards a healthy faith that is hope-filled and grounded in the truth?

these are some of the questions we’ll explore in this community as we reflect, reevaluate, renew our minds, and develop rhythms in our life that draw us closer to God and farther from mainstream/unhealthy Christian culture as we intend to walk in collective freedom for the glory of God, our own well being, and bear good fruit towards the world.
